Houston Learns Conference Schedule

Cougars will be featured on 13 national broadcasts
HOUSTON – The Houston Cougar Women's Basketball program learned its 2018-19 American Athletic Conference schedule on Thursday, in an announcement from the league office.
Season tickets for the 2018-19 season are on sale now and start at just $50 for General Admission seating and feature options for reserved seating as well. The American schedule features 12 national broadcasts, including the league opener against NCAA Tournament semifinalist UConn on Jan. 6. Tipoff against the Huskies is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT, and will air on CBSSN in the first American game played inside the Fertitta Center.
The Cougars head on the road for the first time in American play on Jan. 9 when they meet in-state rival SMU, with the game airing on The American Digital Network, before returning home to welcome Temple to the Fertitta Center on Jan. 12.
Houston's first multi-game road trip of the conference slate will see the Cougars head to Wichita State on Jan. 20 before meeting Cincinnati on Jan. 23 in Ohio. Each matchup will be broadcast live with the matchup against the Shockers airing on ESPNU and the game at Cincinnati being carried on ESPN3.
The Cougars return home on Jan. 26 for their only matchup of the season against Tulsa before wrapping up the month at UCF on Jan. 30 in Orlando with the contest airing on ESPN3.
Houston kicks off February with the return match against SMU on Feb. 2 inside the Fertitta Center before back-to-back road matches at Temple (ESPN3) on Feb. 5 and at USF (ESPN2) Feb. 10.
Head Coach Ronald Hughey's squad will host back-to-back home games for the first time in American play in the middle of February. The Cougars host ECU in the only matchup between the two schools on Feb. 16 and will follow with Tulane on Feb. 20 on ESPN3.
Houston heads to Memphis for the only meeting between the two schools on Feb. 24 on ESPNU before ending the month of February with the return matchup against USF on Feb. 27 in a contest airing on ESPN3.
The Cougars will play two games regular-season games in March, beginning with Houston's return trip to UConn on March 2 (SNY/ESPN3) and closing out conference play against UCF inside the Fertitta Center on March 4 on CBSSN.
THE WHOLE SLATE
Houston announced the non-conference portion of its 2018-19 season in August, featuring the season-opening matchup at Cal on Nov. 6 in Berkeley, Calif. The non-conference schedule features five home games, including a Dec. 6 contest against Texas A&M, where the Cougars will officially open the Fertitta Center, the new $60 million home of Houston Basketball.
