Houston Faces Final Test Before Conference Play

HOUSTON – The University of Houston soccer team will face its final test before kicking off conference play. The Cougars will face Air Force on Sept. 13, before meeting Colorado College on Sept. 16.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

The Cougars are coming off of a 2-0 weekend where they posted a 2-1 OT win over Sam Houston State and 2-0 win over McNeese State.
Houston is 4-4 overall this season and 1-4 on the road.
Desiree Bowen leads the Cougars with eight points this season off of four goals.
Amy Nguyen, Jazmin Grant and Olivia Lee are also scoring threats for the Cougars with two goals each this season.
Mia Brascia leads the team with four assists on the season.

Mia Brascia leads the conference with her four assists this season.
Olivia Lee is tied for first in the conference with two game-winning goals.

The Houston Soccer program is excited to celebrate 20 years of Houston soccer this season. The team unveiled a logo on June 14 that represents 20 years of Houston soccer. The logo is featured on one of the three uniforms that the Cougars will wear throughout the season.
