Cougar sophomore earns prestigious award
HOUSTON – University of Houston sophomore midfielder Olivia Lee continues to make her presence known on the field and in the classroom after being named the Honors College Student of the Year at the 2018 Honors College Convocation.

Lee is in her second year of studies at the University of Houston, working towards a degree in biochemistry. Last season she was named to the 2017-18 American All-Academic team and currently holds a 3.70 grade-point average. Last week, Lee was named to The American honor roll for her performances against Prairie View A&M and Incarnate Word. Lee posted two goals, both game-winning and currently leads The American in the category.

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS
The Houston Soccer program is excited to celebrate 20 years of Houston soccer this season. The team unveiled a logo on June 14 that represents 20 years of Houston soccer. The logo is featured on one of the three uniforms that the Cougars will wear throughout the season.

The Houston Athletics Ticket Office is proud to offer season tickets for the 2018-19 athletic season. During its Sept. 9 match against McNeese State the Houston Soccer team will be holding a silent auction featuring special guest Olympic Medalist and World Cup Champion Shannon Boxx. All proceeds will benefit the Lupus Foundation of America – Texas Galveston.
