Houston Posts Best Spring GPA in Program History

Cougars post 3.37 team GPA; eight named to Dean's List

HOUSTONÂ -- The University of Houston Volleyball team posted top marks in the classroom for the 2018 spring semester.
The Cougars finished the spring with a 3.37 team GPA, their highest-ever for a spring semester.
"Academics matter here," Head Coach Kaddie Platt said. "Our team works very hard both on and off the court. That's the culture of our program, and my staff and I couldn't be prouder for their academic accomplishments this spring."
In addition, Ryan Emmert, Shelby Harper, Abby Irvine, Brianna Lynch, Kendall Montgomery, Faith Squier, Chenelle Walker and Kayla Weixelman all made the Dean's List. Emmert and Walker each posted 4.0 GPAs for the spring.
"Dr. Helen Gore-Laird and the academic staff here at Houston does such a great job working with our student-athletes," Platt added. "We are very appreciative of all the services they provide the team to makes sure they are succeeding in the classroom."
