Cougars will host American champion UConn, in-state rival SMU

HOUSTON -- The Houston Cougar Women's Basketball program learned its American Athletic Conference pairings for the 2018-19 season with an announcement from league officials on Friday.
American Athletic Conference play in 2018-19 will consist of a 16-game schedule with each school playing five of its 11 opponents twice, while meeting six opponents once each -- three at home and three away.
Houston will face four-time American Athletic Conference Champion UConn in a home-and-home series as well as UCF, USF, Temple and in-state rival SMU. The Cougars will meet ECU, Tulane and Tulsa at home only, while Houston will face only road tests against Cincinnati, Memphis and Wichita State.
Dates and times for Houston's American Athletic Conference games for the 2018-19 season will be released at a different date.
