HARTFORD, Conn. - Due to expected inclement weather in the Hartford, Conn. area on Saturday, Houston and UConn have mutually agreed to alter the schedule of its weekend series and the two teams will now play a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 2 p.m. CT.
Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader will begin approximately 40 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1. Sunday's series finale is still slated to begin at 10 a.m. CT.
The series will conclude the regular-season league slate for the Cougars.
Friday's DH will be played in Hartford, Conn. at Dunkin' Donuts Park, home of the Harford Yard Goats, the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
Sunday's game will be played on UConn's campus at J.O. Christian Field in Storrs, Conn.

HOUSTON HITS
- Houston will wrap up American Athletic Conference play this weekend, owning a 29-19 overall record and a 14-7 mark in the league to currently sit in first place.

Houston will return to the state of Texas to take on Rice in the final Silver Glove Series game on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Sugar Land, Texas at Constellation Field. The Cougars will then travel to Hammond, La. to play Southeastern La. in a two-game set on Thursday (May 17) and Friday (May 18).
