Hollis Tabbed American Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. â€" After leading Houston Baseball to a weekend sweep at No. 7 ECU, senior Connor Hollis was honored as the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday.
Hollis led the Cougars at the plate with a .421 average (8-for-19), two doubles, four runs and four RBI.
The Arlington, Texas native had three multi-hit games last week and an RBI in three of the four games. He also notched two, two-out RBI-singles in the series vs. ECU to help the Cougars to three wins.
Hollis extended his on base streak to 17 straight games following last week's contests.
The Player of the Week honor is the first career weekly honor for the senior and the second straight Player of the Week nod for the Cougars as Grayson Padgett was honored last week.
ON DECK
The Cougars will remain in the city of Houston all week when it plays the third and final game of the Don Sanders Cup vs. Sam Houston State on Tuesday at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
