Matthew Adams Drafted By Indianapolis

HOUSTON â€" Houston added one more player to its NFL Draft history Saturday when Matthew Adams was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts.
Saturday's selection gives the Houston program seven NFL Draft selections over the last three years and 178 in program history.
Adams came off the board in the seventh round.

A veteran of the Houston program, Matthew Adams saw action in 48 career games while making 26 career starts including 20 in his final two years on campus. Adams was second the Houston team in 2017 with 88 tackles after leading Houston in stops in 2016 with 82.
The Missouri City, Texas, native finished the season strong with 12 tackles, including two for a loss, one sack and pass breakup vs. Fresno State in the Hawaii Bowl, his second straight year 12 stops in a bowl game after accomplishing the feat vs. San Diego State in the 2016 Las Vegas Bowl.
