Cougars Tee Off at LSU Tiger Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. â€" The University of Houston Women's Golf program returns to action this weekend when it competes at the LSU Tiger Classic, beginning Friday morning at the University Club.
The tournament runs Friday through Sunday with 18 holes, beginning with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start for each day on the 6,247-yard, par-72 course. Admission is free, and all fans are invited to attend.

LINEUP
Under the leadership of Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell, the Cougars will be represented by junior Leonie Harm, senior Allie Andersen, senior Megan Thothong, senior Courtney Tibiletti and junior Tatiana Pineda.
Sophomore Amanda Elich and junior Yuka Kajiki will compete as individuals.
Harm leads the Cougars, who are ranked No. 26 in the latest Golfstat poll, with a 72.77 scoring average and 11 rounds of par or better.
TEAM FIELD
The Cougars will compete in a 12-team field, which features No. 25 Virginia, No. 38 NC State, host and 48th-ranked LSU, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Mercer, Princeton, SMU, Southern Miss, ULM and UTSA
LAST TIME OUT
In the Cougars' last competition, Pineda led four Cougars competing as individuals at the HBU Husky Invitational at BlackHorse Golf Club in Cypress, Texas, on Tuesday.
The Bogota, Colombia, native posted 74 for three straight rounds to earn a career-best third-place finish. Junior Maddy Rayner and senior Kelli Rollo tied for ninth at 231.
UP NEXT
Following the LSU Tiger Classic, the Cougars close out the regular season when they tee off at the Bruzzy Challenge on April 2-3 at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.
From there, the team enters the postseason beginning with the American Athletic Conference Championships on the Conservatory Course at Hammock Beach Golf & Spa Resort in Palm Coast, Fla., on April 15-17T
