
Jackie Blake Signs With Iraklis Thessaloniki

Cougar center taking her talents to Greece
HOUSTON – Houston Cougar Women's Basketball alum Jacqueline Blake has signed a professional contract with GS Iraklis Thessaloniki, a member of the A1 Ethniki (A1 National) Greek Women's Basketball League, the team recently announced.
Blake, a two-year letterwinner for the Cougars, appeared in 61 games after transferring from Miami Dade Community College. Blake played her way into the starting lineup during her senior season after averaging 7.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per night.
Blake most recently played summer league with the Houston Galaxy of the Women's Minor League Basketball Association in 2018 while serving as a member of ASE Amal Sportive Essaouira in the Moroccan League in 2017.
Iraklis Thessaloniki plays its home games in Thessaloniki, Greece, and will join the A1 Ethniki for the first time since 2017-08. Iraklis Tehssaloniki won Greek Women's Basketball League championships in 1968, 1971 and 1972.
