CARROLLTON, Texas – The University of Houston Men's Golf program continues its 2018-19 season this weekend when it tees off at the Maridoe Intercollegiate at Maridoe Golf Club, beginning Saturday morning.
Teams will play 18 holes each day through Monday on the 7,300-yard, par-71 course.

THE LINEUP
For this weekend's tournament, the Cougars will be represented by senior Matt Williams, juniors Logan Young, Zach Tracy and George Gardner and freshman Alexander Frances. Sophomore Andrew Gibson will compete as an individual.
Williams opened 2018-19 in impressive fashion at the season-opening Maui Jim Intercollegiate on Sept. 23-25. The three-year letterman carded a 64 in the Second Round, thanks to eight birdies, and closed out the tournament with a 66 to tie for sixth at 8-under 202.
He became only the eighth player in school history to shoot 64 or lower in a round.
Making his Houston debut at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate, Young fired three straight rounds of 70 to tie for 35th at even-par 210.
Tracy opened that tournament with a 67 and tied for 39th at 211.
TEAM FIELD
The Cougars will compete against Arkansas State, Boise State, Coastal Carolina, Indiana, Rice, New Mexico, SMU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UTSA and co-hosts North Texas and UT Arlington.
PAIRINGS
For Saturday's First Round, the Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from New Mexico and Indiana. Houston begins the day at 9:20 a.m., off No. 1.
Gardner will begin the day at 9:20 a.m., Saturday, off No. 1, with Frances (9:30 a.m.), Tracy (9:40 a.m.), Young (9:50 a.m.) and Williams (10 a.m.) following. Gibson begins at 10:20 a.m., off No. 10.
Tee times for Sunday and Monday will be determined by team standings at the end of each round.
UP NEXT
Following the Maridoe Intercollegiate, Houston returns to action when it tees off at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate on Oct. 22-23 at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas.
From there, the Cougars close out the fall season at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic on the Royal Ka'anapali Course at Ka'anapali Golf Club in Lahaina, Maui, Hawai'i on Nov. 2-4.
Houston opens the spring season when it plays host to its own All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston on Feb. 17-19, 2019.
