Houston Lands 13 on Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete List

10 or more Cougars earn honor for second-consecutive year
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Houston Softball team saw 13 Cougars appear on the Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete list, the NFCA announced Wednesday.
For the second year in a row, Houston has seen 10 or more Cougars receive the honor.
During the 2017-18 academic year, Houston's Sarah Barker, Presley Bell, Kaylin Crumpton, Savannah Heebner, Rachel Hill, Aspen Howie, Meagan McCarver, Trystan Melancon, Kelli Montgomery, Breelyn Thames, Maya Thomas, Brooke Vannoy and Charese Wyatt were all recognized for earning at least a 3.5 GPA.
GPAs were based on a 4.0 scale.
In 2018, Houston posted a 37-22 record and appeared in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional.
