CARROLLTON, Texas – The University of Houston Men's Golf program returns to action Monday morning when it tees off at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate at Maridoe Golf Club.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be played at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, but recent torrential rains and flooding forced the event to be moved.
This will be the second straight tournament in which the Cougars will compete at Maridoe Golf Club. Houston finished 11th at the Maridoe Intercollegiate on Oct. 6-8.
Teams will play 36 holes Monday, beginning with an 8:15 a.m., shotgun start with the Final Round starting at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, on the 7,008-yard, par-70 course.

THE LINEUP
Under the leadership of Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke, the Cougars will be represented by junior Zach Tracy, junior Logan Young, sophomore Alexander Frances, junior Alex Isakson and sophomore Andrew Gibson.
Senior Matt Williams, freshman Braxton Watkins and junior George Gardner will compete as individuals with Watkins making his collegiate debut.
TEAM FIELD
The Cougars will compete against Arkansas, Charlotte, Iowa, Kent State, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, NC State, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, SMU, UTSA and host Baylor.
PAIRINGS
Monday's First Round begins with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start in the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate's unique pairings system. The Cougars' lineup of Tracy, Young, Frances, Isakson and Gibson will compete in the same group, starting off No. 2.
Gardner begins off No. 7 with Watkins and Williams teeing off No. 13.
In most collegiate tournaments, student-athletes compete in groups with student-athletes from other schools.
UP NEXT
Following the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, Houston closes out the fall season at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic on the Royal Ka'anapali Course at Ka'anapali Golf Club in Lahaina, Maui, Hawai'i on Nov. 2-4.
Houston opens the spring season when it plays host to its own All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston on Feb. 17-19, 2019.
