HOUSTON -- Coming off a victory over a top-10 opponent, the University of Houston Men's Basketball team returns to action when it plays host to USF at 2 p.m., Sunday, inside H &PE Arena in a game presented by Maintenance Supply Headquarters.
The Cougars enter this week's lone game on the heels of an impressive 73-59 win over No. 7/4 Wichita State on Jan. 20 inside H&PE Arena. It was the Cougars' first win against a top-10 opponent since Jan. 6, 1996, and the fifth biggest victory against a top-10 opponent in school history.
Against the Shockers, the Cougars used a solid defensive effort to limit Wichita State to only 59 points off 32.8 percent shooting from the field and 18 turnovers.
The Cougars are tied with Wichita State for second in The American with 5-2 league marks and have posted a 15-4 overall record.
Senior Rob Gray continues to lead the Cougars and the American Athletic Conference with 19.7 points per game. The Forest City, N.C., native led all players with 24 points against No. 7/4 Wichita State and grabbed three rebounds with a game-high four assists.
Junior Corey Davis Jr. finished with 17 points against the Shockers and ranks second on the team with 12.3 points per contest. Davis has buried at least one 3-pointer in each of the last 15 games and ranks among The American leaders in both 3-point field goals made per game and 3-point field goal percentage.
Senior forward Devin Davis leads the Cougars and ranks eighth in the league with 6.4 rebounds per game.

PARKING
To avoid lines for the H&PE Arena garage, fans are encouraged to use the FREE parking shuttle. Shuttle service begins at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, in Lot 12A near Gate 3 of the TDECU Stadium parking lot.
Shuttle return service begins immediately after the game and will run for one hour.

• In its most recent action, USF claimed an 80-75 win at Tulane in New Orleans on Thursday night.

• Against Tulane, graduate guard Stephen Jiggetts posted 23 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and 9-of-13 from the free throw line and added team-high five assists... Graduate Guard Terrence Samuel posted 16 points with a game-high 12 rebounds and three steals, while graduate guard Payton Banks recorded 14 points with 10 rebounds.
• This season, Banks leads USF with 12.3 points per game, while Jiggetts is a close second at 12.2 points per contest... Samuel leads the Bulls with 3.1 assists per game, and junior forward Malik Martin is tops with 5.0 rebounds per contest.
• Brian Gregory is in his first season at USF and his 14th season overall as an NCAA collegiate head coach... Has compiled an 8-13 record at USF and is 256-193 during his career.
• Previously built a 76-86 record at Georgia Tech (2011-16) and a 172-94 mark at Dayton (2003-11).
