Red & White Day Set for Saturday

HOUSTON -- The University of Houston Volleyball program will hold its annual Red & White Day on Saturday inside Athletics/Alumni Center.
Red & White Day will get underway with a free youth clinic for children eighth grade and younger starting at 1 p.m.
Following the clinic, the 2017 Cougars will split into two teams for an intrasquad starting at 2:30 p.m. During the match, the Cougars will focus on team systems, while the coaching staff will use several different lineups to evaluate teamwork and compatibility.

Houston will open the season with back-to-back road tournaments. The Cougars will visit UT Arlington for the UTA Invitational across Aug. 25-26, before heading to the George Mason Invitational, taking place Sept. 2-3.
The squad will close tournament play and open their home slate with the eighth annual Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup across Sept. 8-9.
