Kickoff Times Set for Three Houston Games

HOUSTON â€" Kickoff times for three Houston Football games this fall were announced Wednesday by The American Athletic Conference and its network TV partners.

The three include Houston's home opener vs. Rice on Saturday, Sept. 16, that will kick off at 7 p.m. CT and air on ESPN3.
Houston's lone Thursday night game of the year, a home showdown with Memphis on Oct. 19, will kick off at 7 p.m. and air on ESPN.
The Cougars will hit the road in week two of the season when they face Arizona in Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday, Sept. 9, in a game that will kick off at 9:30 p.m. CT on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. Network designation will be announced following the first week of college football action.
The game time for Houston's season opener at UTSA on Saturday, Sept. 2, is expected to be announced by Conference USA, who controls broadcast rights to the game as the host conference, in the near future.
For weekend games past the first three weeks of the season, kickoff times will be set by conference TV partners within 12 days prior to the contest, or in limited instances, six days out.
