HOUSTON -- The University of Houston Softball team will close its five-game road swing with a visit to No. 13/12 Baylor on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. with game two to follow at 6:30 p.m. from Getterman Stadium.
Game one of the doubleheader will be carried on Fox Sports Southwest with game two slated to air on Fox Sports Southwest Plus. Both games will be carried on the Fox Sports Go app.
Baylor is ranked No. 13 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and No. 12 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll from last week. Updated polls come out Tuesday.

SINGLES
• Houston is coming off a tough series sweep at the American Athletic Conference leader in Tulsa. The Cougars fell 1-0 in 10 innings in their series opener. The game was suspended in the top of the ninth inning on Thursday due to rain and resumed on Friday. Houston was later edged 6-5 in game two on Friday before falling 7-3 in the series finale on Saturday.
• On the season, Houston leads The American in on base percentage (.378), ranking second in batting average (.290), slugging percentage (.425) and runs scored (208), tied for second in home runs (29).
• Individually, senior Shelby Miller leads the league with 42 RBI. Sophomore Maya Thomas is second in The American with a .422 batting average, while freshman Arielle James sits sixth with a .374 batting average, first among freshmen.
• Sophomore Savannah Heebner (9-8) and freshman Trystan Melancon (9-7) co-lead the Cougars with nine in the circle. Their nine wins are tied for fourth in The American. Heebner's 2.21 ERA ranks fourth in conference, while Melancon's 2.81 ERA sits 10th. Sophomore Presley Bell is 2-4 with a 3.88 ERA and one save. Bell has 11 appearances in relief. Freshman Hannah Wolfe carries a 3.32 ERA though eight relief appearances.
• Houston trails Baylor, 18-11, in the all-time series and is 3-8 in trips to Waco, Texas.
