Major Applewhite Golf Classic Set for June 19

HOUSTON -- The 2017 Major Applewhite Golf Classic has been set for Monday, June 19, at the Kingwood Country Club. The event, which benefits the Houston Football restricted fund, is set for a 1 p.m. shotgun start with registration and lunch opening at 11:30 a.m.
With 54 holes available at Kingwood Country Club, participants can expect quick and smooth play in the 18-hole event.

Participation in the 2017 Major Applewhite Golf Classic comes in a variety of forms. Individual entry fees start at $250 and foursomes, including hole sponsorship, starting at $1,000. Houston fans can also advertise their companies and organizations by selecting a number of hole, corporate and title sponsor opportunities and packages beginning at just $250. The day will begin with registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. and will conclude with the post-event awards dinner featuring a live auction.
Dinner attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a number of items from a private plane trip to an away Houston Football game with a sideline pass and dinner with Houston Vice President for Athletics Hunter Yurachek and UH staff, a night at the team hotel and travel with the team for a home game experience, Golden Nugget Lake Charles Package, golf with Coach Major Applewhite at Royal Oaks, a J.J. Watt framed and signed jersey and helmet, Greg Ward Jr. framed and signed jersey and more.
Chaired by Darryl Schroeder and Garry Plotkin, the event will also offer participants a number of hole-in-one prizes including a new car and a trip for two to Costa Rica complete with a private plane, condo and deep sea fishing.
