Cougars Welcome Conference Rival Memphis

HOUSTON â€" The Houston Cougar Women's Tennis team returns to the Barbara Wallace Winston Tennis Facility to host Memphis on Saturday. The Cougars will put their 3-match winning streak on the line in a noon first serve.
All fans in attendance at Saturday's match will be eligible to sign up for a chance to win a FREE TV courtesy of Houston Women's Tennis.
ABOUT THE COUGARS
Houston enters play with an 8-7 record after winning its third straight match last Friday at UConn.
Houston has been led in singles play this season by freshman Tsveta Dimitrova who holds an 8-2 record and has won four consecutive matches dating back to March 3. Dimitrova has won in straight sets in each of her last three victories and seven of eight overall.
Junior Sveva Mazzari and freshman Constandena Nicolaou have also been riding a hot streak in singles play. Each enters play on a 3-match winning streak, while Mazzari sits tied for the team lead in wins with eight and Nicolaou has collected six.
Mazzari has teamed with freshman Lauren Alter on the doubles court this season to lead the Cougars with five wins, while Dimitrova has partnered with both freshman Cristina Rovira and junior Ana Glumac to pick up three wins apiece.
ABOUT THE TIGERS
Memphis enters play on Saturday with a 7-4 overall record and a 4-0 mark in the month of March. The Tigers will remain in Houston to face Rice on Sunday.
Memphis' top contributor on the singles court this season has been Katherine Cao. Cao has compiled an 8-1 record throughout the spring and has victories in her last five decisions while playing primarily from the No. 5 singles position. Marta Morga and Hanna Sohn rank second on the squad with six wins each.
Sohn and Morga have combined to be the Tigers' most successful doubles team this season, holding a 3-0 record during the spring. Morga has also teamed with Josephine Cao to hold a 3-1 mark.
UP NEXT FOR HOUSTON
The Cougars embark on their final road trip of the regular season when they head west to Utah. Houston faces the University of Utah on March 23 at 2:30 p.m. CT, before meeting BYU on March 25 at 1 p.m., CT.

The Cougars are proud to introduce the Center Court Club, a restricted-giving program that directly impacts the needs of the University of Houston Tennis program. Gifts to the Center Court Club provide financial support directly to the University of Houston Tennis program for needs beyond the program's operating budget. Revenue generated from the Center Court Club is used at the discretion of the head coach for program enhancements. Membership in the Center Court Club is annual and requires a minimum $100 gift.

For a minimum gift of $500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation and a stadium blanket.
US OPEN
For a minimum gift of $1,000, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket and a lesson from the coach.
GRAND SLAM
For a minimum gift of $2,500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket, a lesson from the coach and a group lesson from the coaching staff.
