Cougars Head Out on West Coast Trip

SEATTLE -- The Houston Cougar Women's Tennis team continues its 10-match road trip with a swing on the west coast against a pair of Pac-12 opponents. Houston visits Washington on Friday, in Seattle, before traveling to take on Oregon on Sunday, in Eugene.
First serve against the Huskies is scheduled for 3 p.m., CT, while the match against the Ducks is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., CT.
ABOUT THE COUGARS
Freshman Tsveta Dimitrova and junior Sveva Mazzari have each paced the Cougars with a 4-2 record in singles play through the first eight matches. The four remaining Cougars, Lauren Alter, Ana Glumac, Constandena Nicolaou and Cristina Rovira each have three singles wins in the young season.
Mazzari and Alter have been Houston's toughest duo on the doubles court so far this season. The team has won three straight matches including victories against Tulane and LSU a week ago. The pair of Dimitrova and Rovira have also tallied three wins this year.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Washington enters play with an 8-2 overall record. The Huskies had a week off from competition after beating Saint Mary's 6-1 and San Diego State 7-0 on Feb. 10-11.
Kenadi Hance has paced Washington this season in singles play with a 9-1 record through the first 10 matches. Alexis Prokopuik ranks second on the squad with an 8-1 mark, while Stacey Fung, Miki Kobayashi and Katarina Kopcalic each have seven singles wins.
The Huskies have fielded 13 different doubles teams during the spring. The duo of Prokopuik and Hance hold the best record in doubles play with a 3-1 mark.
SCOUTING THE DUCKS
Oregon enters play this weekend with a 3-4 overall record after dropping its most recent contests at Baylor (4-3) and at TCU (4-1). The Ducks will meet UC Santa Barbara on Friday, before welcoming Houston to Eugene on Sunday.
Senior Marlou Kluving leads the Ducks with a 4-1 record through the team's first seven matches. Oregon has also picked up three singles wins from Rifanty Kahfiani and Alyssa Tobita. Oregon's duo of Marlou Kluving and Julia Eshet lead the Ducks in doubles play with a 4-2 overall record.

The Cougars are proud to introduce the Center Court Club, a restricted-giving program that directly impacts the needs of the University of Houston Tennis program. Gifts to the Center Court Club provide financial support directly to the University of Houston Tennis program for needs beyond the program's operating budget. Revenue generated from the Center Court Club is used at the discretion of the head coach for program enhancements. Membership in the Center Court Club is annual and requires a minimum $100 gift.

For a minimum gift of $100, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball.
ACE
For a minimum gift of $500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation and a stadium blanket.
US OPEN
For a minimum gift of $1,000, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket and a lesson from the coach.
GRAND SLAM
For a minimum gift of $2,500, supporters receive a team poster and a signed tennis ball, private practice invitation, a stadium blanket, fleece jacket, a lesson from the coach and a group lesson from the coaching staff.
