Houston Announces 2017 Summer Camp Dates

HOUSTON â€" Houston Cougar Women's Basketball Head Coach Ronald Hughey has announced the dates for the upcoming Houston Cougar Women's Basketball Summer Camps. Camps will be held in three separate sessions spanning from June 16-18.
Houston Cougar Women's Basketball Camps provide players and teams with a competitive and educational experience with a goal to teach the game by building a solid foundation for players at all levels. Campers will be run through Division I drills designed to develop skills, vision and competency. All drills and games are specifically geared to prepare each camper for competition at the highest level.
The summer sessions will open with the Elite Camp, which will be held June 16 at the Guy V. Lewis Basketball Development Center.
The Elite Basketball Camp is designed to provide a positive atmosphere in which campers can develop their skills, confidence, motivation and discipline needed to reach their potential. Campers will work with the Houston Women's basketball coaching staff as well as current players, and will work through a variety of drills and games designed to improve each individual's skill level. Elite camp is open to all girls in middle school and high school (grade 8-12)
Houston's second camp option for the summer of 2017 will be Position Camp, which will be held on June 17. Position campers will work with the Houston Cougar women's basketball coaching staff to hone their skills at individual positions.
Houston's final option for 2017 summer camps will be the Women's Basketball Cougar Cub Camp. Cougar Cub Camp will be held on June 18, and is open to all boys and girls in elementary and middle school (grades 1-8).
All campers participating in one of the summer camps will receive lunch, as well as a University of Houston Camp T-Shirt, a camp basketball and more.
