SAN ANTONIO, Texas â€" The University of Houston Women's Golf program wrapped up play at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, posting a three-day score of 874 to finish sixth at Briggs Ranch Golf Club.
Competing on the 6,450-yard course, senior Megan Thothong and junior Leonie Harm each finished with 73s in Tuesday's Final Round and tied for 12th at 1-under 215 to lead the Cougars. Harm earned her team-leading third top-15 finish of the young season, while Thothong enjoyed the 15th top-20 showing of her career.
Arkansas finished with a team score of 22-under 842 to finish 18 strokes ahead of Texas A&M and TCU. Denver stood in fourth at 870 with Oklahoma placing fifth at 873. Following the Cougars, Kansas State (878), Maryland (880), Auburn (883) and UTSA (887) rounded out the top-10 leaders.
Kansas State's Connie Jaffrey earned medalist honors at 9-under 207 to finish one stroke ahead of Texas A&Ms Maddie Szeryk and Alana Uriell of Arkansas. TCU's Emmy Martin finished fourth at 210.
Senior Courtney Tibiletti tied for 21st at 220, while junior Maddy Rayner tied for 41st at 224. Senior Allie Andersen tied for 54th at 229.
UP NEXT
Following the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational, the Cougars tee off at the Trinity Forest Invitational on Oct. 30-31 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.
From there, the team concludes its fall season when it tees off at the Baylor Invitational, hosted at Club Campestre San Jose in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico on Nov. 3-5.
