Bowser closed out his career ranked seventh on the Houston career sacks lists with 21.5, part of his 27.5 career tackles for loss and 136 tackles. He started 23 games in his career with action in 48 games total. He also had eight pass breakups, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his four-year career at UH.
Despite missing five games his senior year with an injury, Bowser was third in The American Athletic Conference and tied for the team lead with 8.5 sacks. He also tied for second on the team with 12 tackles for loss, a number that ranked ninth in The American.
Bowser is one of six Houston seniors invited to a postseason game as linebacker Steven Taylor and defensive tackle B.J. Singleton have been invited to the 92nd East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 21 in St. Petersburg, Fla., while cornerback Brandon Wilson, quarterback Greg Ward Jr. and defensive end Cameron Malveaux have been invited to the NFLPA Bowl on the same day in Carson, Calif.
Bowser's invitation marks the third straight year for a member of the Houston Football program to be invited to the Senior Bowl as the linebacker follows in the footsteps of cornerback William Jackson III, currently with the Cincinnati Bengals, and defensive tackle Joey Mbu, currently with the Washington Redskins.
