Wilson picked off his first pass of the season in the third game of 2015, Houston's 59-14 win over Texas State, before suffering a torn ACL that would sideline the DeSoto, Texas, native for the remainder of the year. He also had five tackles and two pass breakups before suffering the setback.
As a true freshman, Wilson was one of just four freshmen to appear in all 13 games in the 2014 season as he made three starts in the defensive secondary. He finished the season with 48 tackles including one for a loss, three interceptions and three pass breakups.
