Houston Football Spring Practice #10

Perfect weather greeted the #HTownTakeover on Thursday for the team's 10th workout of the spring. It was Be A Pro Day as Coach Tom Herman exhorted his players to prove how mature they are to their teammates and coaching staff. The demand provided juice throughout practice as the team prepared for its second scrimmage of the spring on Friday.
After giving up the Circle Drill championship belt for the first time on Tuesday, the Houston defense quickly reclaimed on Thursday as Chauntez Jackson, Cameron Malveaux, Jerard Carter and B.J. Singleton all claimed wins for the defense while Josh Jones claimed the lone win for the offense.

Spring Practice Notes:
Wide receiver Steven Dunbar and defensive back Khalil Williams received Coach Tom Herman's Dudes of the Day award for Tuesday's practice ... Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones made an appearance at Houston's practice on Thursday. The NFL hopeful played for Herman while at Ohio State ... Houston returns to practice Friday afternoon, the third of three practices scheduled for the fourth week of spring football ... Friday's workout is Houston's Student Appreciation Practice. Houston's spring practices conclude with the 2016 Red & White Game presented by Energy Ogre at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at TDECU Stadium. Fans can purchase general admission tickets ahead of time for just $5 at UHCougars.com/spring with tickets priced at $10 the day of the event.
