PREVIEW: Softball Hosts UCF This Weekend

HOUSTON â€" Coming off an exciting doubleheader split against No. 19 Baylor and the 10th Annual Striking Out Breast Cancer game, Houston Softball is set for its third weekend of American Athletic Conference play as the Cougars host UCF.
Game one of the series is set for Friday at 5:30 p.m. The series continues on Saturday with a 2 p.m. start while the finale is scheduled for Sunday at noon.
Saturday's game will be aired on the American Digital Network. Friday's and Sunday's games will be streamed on Houston All-Access.

| HITS ON HOUSTON |
• Houston Softball split a doubleheader with No. 19 Baylor Tuesday evening. The Bears took game one 4-0 before the Cougars hitting lit up the scoreboard in game two to steal an 8-5 win.
• The win marked the first victory over a No. 19 team since the Cougars defeated No. 19 Texas A&M at Cougar Softball Stadium, 4-3, on April 20, 2011.
• Senior Courtney Klingler belted two home runs including a grand slam in Tuesday's 8-5 win over No. 19 Baylor. She went 3-for-5 and drove in six runs during the doubleheader.
• With three groundouts in game one, senior Katie St. Pierre's reached base streak ended at 40 games.
