Houston Football Spring Practice #5

It was a Good Friday indeed Friday morning as the Houston Football program was up bright and early for a morning practice under the lights of TDECU Stadium. Lasting just under two hours, Friday's sunrise workout was Houston's third this spring in full pads.
Proving that defense wins championships, the Houston defense continued its impressive opening of the season in the circle drill as it picked up its third straight win to remain undefeated.
After a brief appearance between two Easter bunnies in the ring, Jeremy Winchester, D'Juan Hines and Cameron Malveaux ran away with a 3-0 shutout win for the defense.
Friday's workout concluded with full team periods of 1s vs. 1s and 2 vs. 2s as the team continues to ramp up spring workouts.

Spring Practice Notes:
Houston returns to Tuesday afternoon, part of three workouts next week concluding with the spring's first scrimmage on Friday afternoon … the first Dudes of the Day awards of this spring were awarded to Duke Catalon and Matthew Adams for their efforts in Wednesday's practice.
Houston's spring practices conclude with the 2016 Red & White Game presented by Energy Ogre at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at TDECU Stadium. Fans can purchase general admission tickets ahead of time for just $5 at UHCougars.com/spring with tickets priced at $10 the day of the event.
