LAST AT-BAT
Houston is coming off a tough 1-3 week which saw itself face three teams ranked among the nation's Top 25 in No. 23 Texas Tech, No. 18 Arkansas and No. 13 TCU at the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic at Minute Maid Park.
The Cougars dropped all three games, but were highlighted by the offensive work from freshman Joe Davis â€" who hit .500 with three doubles, three RBI and two runs scored en route to being named to the All-Tournament Team.
Houston did earn a midweek win last week over McNeese State, 14-1, at home which saw the Cougars post 13 hits and a three-hit, five-RBI effort from Davis.
Houston will enter Tuesday's contest with a record of 4-3 on the year and are looking to snap a three-game skid after starting the season 4-0.
Leading the way offensively is Davis â€" hitting .538 with 14 hits and 13 RBI to accompany six doubles and one home run. Sophomore Connor Wong follows with a .333 average, while sophomore Corey Julks is third-best in average with a .308 clip.
Senior Jacob Campbell is second-best on the team with 10 RBI and sophomore Zac Taylor is a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen bases.
As a team, Houston is hitting .280 with seven home runs and a 14-for-15 mark on the base paths.
The pitching staff owns a 3.98 ERA with 69 strikeouts in 61.0 innings. It has managed to hold its opponents to a .226 average.
All three weekend starters are 1-1 on the year, led by junior Andrew Lantrip's 2.38 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 11.1 innings. Junior John King has 11 strikeouts in 8.1 innings and a 6.48 ERA, while freshman Mitch Ullom owns a 8.22 ERA with six strikeouts in 7.2 innings.
Junior Marshall Kasowski made the start last Tuesday vs. McNeese State and finished the game with 5.0 shutout innings, allowing just four hits and seven strikeouts for the win.
Out of the bullpen, the Cougars are led by sophomore Aaron Fletcher's 0.00 ERA, one save and seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings. Freshman Trey Cumbie has also showed well in his three appearances, posting six strikeouts in 4.0 total innings tossed.
ABOUT UTSA
UTSA is a member of Conference USA and will enter Tuesday's game at Houston with a record of 5-2. The Roadrunners are coming off a weekend series win vs. McNeese State, closing out the series with back-to-back victories (13-8, 11-5) at home. UTSA also earned a series win to open the year vs. American Athletic Conference foe, UConn and also won its only midweek thus far, an 8-5 win at Sam Houston State.
As a team, UTSA is hitting .288 with 19 doubles and five home runs.
Leading the way offensively is C.J. Pickering with a .414 average, a team-leading 12 hits, while Skyler Valentine follows with a .333 average and seven RBI.
On the mound, the Roadrunners own a 5.29 ERA and have fanned 53 hitters in 63.0 innings, while walking 32. Andre Shewcraft is 1-0 with a team-best 2.45 ERA out of the bullpen. In 7.1 innings, Shewcraft has struck out six.
Karl Craigie will get the start vs. Houston after making four relief appearances for a 1-0 start on the year.
SERIES HISTORY
Houston and UTSA will meet for the 28th time in program history on Tuesday with the Cougars owning the all-time series, 17-10. Houston is 9-6 at home vs. the Roadrunners in a series that dates back to 1992.
The Cougars won the last meeting between the two programs, an 8-3 victory, at home on May 1, 2012.
PROBABLE STARTERS
Houston: RHP Marshall Kasowski
Houston will hand the ball to junior Marshall Kasowski on Tuesday vs. UTSA. The right-hander has made one start thus far in 2016 and showed well, going 5.0 shutout innings, allowing just four hits with a career-high seven strikeouts in the win.
UTSA: LHP Karl Craigie
UTSA's Karl Craigie will make his first start of 2016 after appearing in four games in relief. The left-hander is 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA and has struck out two, walked two in 3.2 innings.

Following Tuesday's midweek game vs. UTSA, the Cougars will continue their homestand with a weekend series vs. Baylor at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park. The series is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

To purchase tickets in person, fans can visit the Athletics Ticket Stadium Office located on the northeast corner of TDECU Stadium, just outside of Gate 1 off Cullen Boulevard. Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium parking garage with the first 30 minutes free of charge. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m., to 5:30 p.m.
Houston Baseball will offer variable pricing on its single-game tickets and group rates.

As noted in the table above, variable pricing occurs. For weekday (Tuesday/Wednesday) games, prices range from $5-$7 depending on the choice of seating.
Weekend ((Thursday) Friday-Sunday) online pricing will range from $6-$8 per game.
GROUP RATES
Group rates are also available (as noted in the table). Weekday (Tuesday/Wednesday) and Weekend ((Thursday) Friday-Sunday) pricing occurs. Groups of 10-24 are set at $4-$5 per person, while groups of 25+ are $3-$4 per person.
All UH main campus students are admitted FREE to regular-season baseball home games with a valid student ID.
