HOUSTON -- After a successful first weekend at Cougar Softball Stadium, the University of Houston Softball team welcomes No. 14 Texas A&M for a midweek matchup.
The Cougars (6-4) and the Aggies (11-1) will meet on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

• Houston finished 3-2 during the home opening weekend Hilton Houston Plaza Invitational.
• Texas A&M is the second top 25 opponent the Cougars have faced this season.
• The Cougars picked up two more run-rule victories and a walk-off win in eight innings during the five-game tournament at Cougar Softball Stadium.
• Freshman RHP Presley Bell (2-1) pitched her second complete game shutout of her career in the 8-0 win over Toledo Saturday night. Bell was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll for her outstanding performance against Toledo. She allowed only three hits and struck out a career best five batters.
• Freshman OF Elise LeBeouf was one of the Cougars top hitters as she blasted three home runs, two in the 4-3 comeback win over Iowa State.
• Senior centerfielder Katie St. Pierre has reached base in all 10 games this season, and 11 straight games dating back to last season.
