HOUSTON â€"The University of Houston Men's Basketball team returns to action at 7 p.m., Wednesday, when they play host to Tulsa in American Athletic Conference play inside Hofheinz Pavilion.
The Cougars enter Wednesday's game on the heels of a tough 71-62 loss to USF last weekend inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Against the Bulls, sophomore walk-on guard Wes VanBeck posted career highs with 15 points and four assists to lead the Cougars. Junior forward Danrad Knowles added 15 points with a team-high seven rebounds.
This season, sophomore guard Rob Gray, Jr., leads the Cougars and ranks second in the American Athletic Conference with 16.6 points per game. Senior forward Devonta Pollard stands second on the team with 12.5 points per contest.
Wednesday's game showcases three of the top-4 scoring leaders in the American Athletic Conference. Tulsa senior James Woodard leads the league with 16.9 points per game, while senior Shaquille Harrison stands fourth at 15.6 points per contest.
Junior guard Damyean Dotson is third on the team with 11.7 points per game but leads the Cougars with 7.2 rebounds per contest and four double-doubles. Junior point guard Ronnie Johnson is fourth at 10.8 points per contest and ranks second among the Cougars with 5.4 assists per game, trailing only freshman point guard Galen Robinson, Jr.'s 3.4 assists per contest.

Parking is available in the TDECU Stadium parking garage with the first 30 minutes free of charge.
Current University of Houston students are admitted free to ALL Houston Men's Basketball game when presenting a valid ID at the doors.
SINGLE-GAME TICKETS
Single-game tickets for Houston Men's Basketball's 2015-16 season begin at only $5 per game. Fans can purchase General Admission single-game tickets for only $5, while Reserved 2 seating is available for only $10 per game. Fans may buy Reserved 1 single-game tickets for $15 per ticket.

Tickets for groups of 10-24 or more can be purchased for as low as $12 per ticket in Reserved 2 for 18 regular-season home games inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Groups of more than 25 people can buy Reserved 2 tickets for only $10 per ticket

ABOUT TULSA
Tulsa enters Wednesday's game with a 13-6 overall mark and 5-2 record in American Athletic Conference play. The Golden Hurricane are tied for third with Temple in the latest league standings.
After losing its first two American games to open the conference, Golden Hurricane has won its last five games.
In its last game, Tulsa took advantage of 19 turnovers to take a 75-60 win against UCF on Sunday afternoon in Tulsa, Okla. Against the Knights, senior guard James Woodard scored 18 points with 10 rebounds and six assists, while senior forward Brandon Swannegan came off the bench to pour in 17 points with eight boards. Junior guard Pat Birt and senior guard Rashad Ray each added 12 points.
This season, Woodard leads Tulsa with 16.9 points per game, while senior Shaquille Harrison is second with 15.6 points per contest. Harrison is tops with 5.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
Head Coach Frank Haith is in his second year at Tulsa and his 12th year as a collegiate coach. He has compiled a 236-146 record during his career with a 36-17 mark at Tulsa. Haith also assembled a 129-101 record at Miami (Fla.) (2004-11) and was 71-28 at Missouri (2011-14).
He is 3-0 during his career against Houston with all three previous meetings coming during the 2014-15 season.

Following Wednesday's game, the Cougars close out the month with a 11 a.m. (CST) Jan. 30 showdown at East Carolina inside Minges Coliseum in Greenville, N.C.
From there, Houston takes on No. 8/NR SMU at 7 p.m., Feb. 1 inside Hofheinz Pavilion. That game will be part of a special celebration for the 2015 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl champion Houston Football team.
