HOUSTON - Cage Rage, the UH student pep rally that takes the Houston Football program one day closer to its season opener, returns to campus Thursday, Sept. 3.
More than 1,000 students at the event will receive specially branded Cage Rage t-shirts during the night's autograph signing while supplies last.
Beginning at 5:45 p.m., Sept. 3, throughout on-campus residence halls, the Spirit of Houston will begin playing its collection of spirit selections and leading UH students across campus to TDECU Stadium.
ICON Gate 2, the student section gate on game days, will open at 6 p.m. Sept. 3, with programming kicking off at 6:35 p.m. UH students will hear from Student Government Association president Shaun Theriot-Smith, UH VP for Athletics Hunter Yurachek, UH Chancellor Dr. Renu Khator, UH head coach Tom Herman and 2015 Houston Football captains.
The Houston Football team will also be unveiling a new pregame routine that involves the TDECU Student Section prior to each home game. More details will be announced on UHCougars.com and @UHCougarFB in the near future.
Following the on-field speeches and performances from the Spirit of Houston, members of the Houston team, including Herman, will be present on the lower concourse for a student-only autograph session.
