Weather Forces Cougars Out of Texas Invitational

HOUSTON - Due to the threat of inclement weather in the Austin area, the Houston Cougar men's and women's track and field teams have opted not to compete in the Texas Invitational on the campus of the University of Texas, on Saturday.
According to weather reports, rain storms were expected to begin around 8 a.m., Saturday morning and will continue throughout the day.
The Houston track and field coaching staff made the decision to pull out of the meet before making the trip down to Austin on Saturday.

Houston heads out of state for the first time in the outdoor season when it travels to the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays from Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 18 in Walnut, Calif. Action is scheduled to get underway on Thursday at 6 p.m., with the men's 3000m steeplechase.
