Issac Williams Named Athlete of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior hurdler and American Athletic Conference Indoor 60m hurdle champion Issac Williams has been named The American Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Texas Relays, the conference announced Monday.
Williams ran the 110m Hurdles in 14.23 in Austin to finish 11th in the event. The Willingboro, N.J., native has the top-time in the conference in the event and the 23rd best mark in the nation. 11 of the top-25 times in the nation in the 110m Hurdles this season came out of one race at the Texas Relays.
Williams continued his strong junior campaign, which saw him qualify for the NCAA Indoor National Championships for the first time in his career in the 60m hurdles. Williams placed 10th at nationals and earned Second Team All-American Honors for his performance.
Williams was named American Athletic Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week twice during the indoor season and has now been named athlete of the week four times in his career.
