Issac Williams 10th at NCAA Indoor Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. - Junior hurdler Issac Williams ran a 7.81 in the semifinals of the 60m hurdles, but failed to qualify for the finals after a 10th place finish at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
Williams, the school record holder in the event (7.72, Houston Tune Up 2015) failed to qualify for the finals of the event, finishing one one-hundredth of a second behind the eighth place qualifier Adarius Washington. However, the Willingboro, N.J. native became the first Cougar in school history to earn Second Team All-America Honors in the men's 60m hurdles.
Williams qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships by clocking the third-best time in the NCAA this season at 7.72. The former Willingboro High School standout has entered the 60m hurdles in seven meets this season, winning five, including at the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships in New York, N.Y.

UP NEXT
Houston begins in the outdoor slate of the 2015 season when they split up their squad to travel to two different meets.
Some of the Cougars will head across town to Texas Southern to compete in the TSU relays on Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21, while the rest of the team will hand to San Antonio, Texas to compete in the UTSA Meet on March 21.
