Next Stop, College Station for Track and Field

HOUSTON - The Houston Cougar men's and women's track and field team will head to College Station, Texas to compete in the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium on Friday and Saturday Feb., 6-7.
Eight Division I teams are scheduled to compete along with Houston this weekend including Baylor, Clemson, Rice, TCU, Texas State, UTEP and the host team Texas A&M.
Action is scheduled to begin on Friday with the with the men's 60m dash as part of the Heptathlon competition. Friday's competition will consist of the complete women's pentathlon competition, four events of the men's heptathlon and each of the men's and women's distance medley relays and the 5,000m runs.
Saturday's events begin at 10:30 a.m., with the continuation of the men's heptathlon and the 60m hurdles event. Field events will start at 12:30 p.m., with the men's long jump and continue throughout the afternoon. Running events will also kick off at 12:30 p.m., with the women's 60m dash preliminary round and will be on a rolling schedule for the remainder of the day.
