Stansbury Selected to College Gridiron Showcase

HOUSTON - Houston senior defensive end Gavin Stansbury was selected to participate in the College Gridiron Showcase All-Star Game to be held on Jan. 31 in Arlington, Texas, the event's organizers announced Wednesday.
In his lone season at Houston, Stansbury led the Houston defensive line and was fourth on the UH team with 60 tackles including four for loss and two-and-a-half sacks. Stansbury also forced a fumble and recovered another while recording Houston's lone blocked kick of the season, a blocked field goal in Houston's 35-9 win at SMU.

Prior to Houston, Stansbury spent three seasons at Texas A&M where he was named the Aggies' Defensive MVP in 2013 after recording 47 tackles and three sacks.
