Cougars in the NFL: Week 2

HOUSTON - With the NFL season underway, several Houston Cougars saw action on their respective teams during Week 2 of play.
WR Donnie Avery (KC) finished Week 2 with three receptions totaling 14 yards in the Chiefs' loss to the Denver Broncos. Avery and the 0-2 Chiefs are set to visit the Miami Dolphins in Week 3.

RB Jackie Battle (TEN) had one 21-yard long kickoff return in the Titans' Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Battle and the Titans are scheduled to visit the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3.

LS Thomas Gafford (KC) saw game action in the Chief's Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos but did not record any stats. Gafford and the Chiefs will visit the Miami Dolphins in Week 3.

CB D.J. Hayden (OAK) is still listed on the Raider's Physically Unable to Perform list. After a 30-14 loss to the Houston Texans, the Raiders are set to visit the New England Patriots in Week 3.

QB Case Keenum (STL) did not play in the Rams' Week 2 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Week 3 sees the 1-1 Rams visiting the Atlanta Falcons.
