Cougars in the NFL: Week 5

HOUSTON - Week 5 of the NFL season is in the books and several former Houston Football letterwinners made appearances.
WR Donnie Avery (KC) did not play in the Chiefs' loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5. Avery, who totals 156 years for the season, and the Chiefs are scheduled for a bye week in Week 6.

RB Jackie Battle (TEN) played in the Titans' Week 5 loss to the Cleveland Browns but did not record any stats. Battle and the 1-4 Titans are set to host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6.

LS Thomas Gafford (KC) played but recorded no stats in the Chiefs' Week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Gafford and the Chiefs are scheduled for a bye week in Week 6.

CB D.J. Hayden (OAK) remains on the Raiders' Physically Unable to Perform list. After a Week 5 bye, the Raiders are set to host the San Diego Chargers in Week 6.
