HOUSTON - University of Houston kicker Kyle Bullard was named to CBSSports.com's Midseason All-America Second Team Wednesday, as voted on by a panel of college football experts and staff.
Bullard leads The American Athletic Conference in scoring with 51 points entering Friday night's game vs. Temple. The junior is 12-of-13 on field goal attempts. He leads The American and is fifth nationally with his 12 made field goals. His 92.3 field goal percentage also leads The American while ranking eighth nationally.
In Houston's game vs. UCF, Bullard set the Houston record for consecutive field goals made when he connected on all four attempts, extending his made streak to 18 before missing his first attempt of the season last week at Memphis.
Six of Bullard's 12 field goals this season have come from 40 yards or longer including a career-long 51-yard kick vs. UCF. He has connected on multiple field goals in four of six games this year.
His 12 field goals this season rank 15th on the Houston single-season chart and he needs just two more to move into a tie for eighth on the single-season chart. He currently ranks 13th with 18 career field goals made.
