Cougars Hit Road For Final Away Series

The Cougars have just four regular season matches remaining before heading to compete in the American Athletic Conference championship with first round play beginning Oct. 31.
Junior goalkeeper Jordan Brown continues to impress in her first season with the Cougars as the League City native leads the conference in saves (62) and saves per game (5.17).
ABOUT ECU
ECU (8-5-1, 2-3-0 AAC) heads into Friday's match after a weekend split with Memphis (L, 2-0) and Tulsa (W, 1-0). The Pirates are currently in a four way tie for sixth place in the American Athletic Conference standings.
Sophomore forward Lana Spitler leads the ECU offense with 13 points (six goals and one assist) in 2014. Junior Kendall Frey is second on the team with eight points including three goals and is tied for the team high with two assists.
The Pirates have split the majority of the season in goal between junior Saundra Baron and senior Erika Lenns. Lenns has had the better season statistically compiling a 5-2-1 record with five shutouts and a 0.62 goals against average.
ABOUT CINCINNATI
Cincinnati enters this weekends' matches with an 8-5-2 overall record and also sits in a four way tie for sixth place with a 2-3-0 record in American Athletic Conference play.
Junior Danielle Rotheram and sophomore Katy Couperus each have 15 points to lead the Bearcats in scoring. The duo along with Julie Gavorski have put in five goals apiece this season, while senior Joe Atkinson leads the team with 10 assists.
Sophomore Natalie Smith has seen the majority of time in goal this season for Cincinnati compiling an 8-5-1 record and a 1.16 goals against average.
