Women's Hoops Broadcast Schedule Released

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Houston Women's Basketball will see nine of its American Athletic Conference games air live on the American Digital Network and two on ESPN3 as part of the additional broadcast coverage, the league office announced Wednesday.
The American unveiled times and network designations for 50 conference matchups and seven tournament games on the American Digital Network and ESPN3.
The games will be produced and distributed live by The American Digital Network and will air on www.TheAmerican.org/dn free of charge.
ESPN3 will also broadcast games, including the first round and the quarterfinals of the American Women's Basketball Championship.
Houston Women's Basketball kicks off the live coverage of the American Digital Network on Dec. 27 when UCF takes on Houston at 2 p.m. CST at Hofheinz Pavilion.
Houston Women's Basketball will also be televised on ESPN3 with conference matchups against Tulsa on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. CST and at UCF on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. CST.
In addition to 20-regular season contests, ESPN3 will air seven American Athletic Conference championship games, including three-first round matchups on Friday, March 6 and four quarterfinal games on Saturday, March 7.
The league previously announced a number of televised games with ESPN and CBS Sports Network on Aug. 28. Over 80 of the league's 99 games are scheduled for live coverage in 2014-2015.

ABOUT THE 2014-15 COUGARS
Since joining the program as its newest head coach back in April, Ronald Hughey and the rest of the UH coaching staff have been hard at work on the recruiting circuit. The Cougars finalized their 2014-15 recruiting class a couple of months ago with the signing of guard Mariah Mitchell(McKinney, Texas), who was a three-time all-district team member during her time at McKinney High School. She joins Moesha Kinard (New Iberia, La.), DeJah Joshua (Gary, Ind.), Janee Arnold (Tulsa, Okla.) and Sandra Davis (Odenton, MD), to make up the rest of this year's signing class.
