As we start our last week of practice before we get into American Athletic Conference play, I think it's safe to say we'll be prepared in the event that we go into extra time.
We've had four straight overtime games, three of which have been double overtime. I think the girls have done a pretty good job at pushing through the soreness and figuring out a way to play.
Yesterday's game went pretty well against HBU and we're continuing to improve in many aspects on the field. I thought that Rebekah Horsey played exceptionally well during the game.
She has done a much better job holding the ball in the midfield and I felt she helped set the tone with aggressive tackles. Jasmine Martinez has been playing a more offensive role lately and has been creating many more chances in the final third.
I think we will work closer with our offense during this week's sessions before our Senior Day game this Friday.
