Track & Field Wraps Up Day One of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA
- The University of Houston track and field team wrapped up day one of competition at the 119th running of the Penn Relays Thursday evening.
Sophomore Sade-Mariah Greenidge and junior Amber Sellers started the day off for the Cougars. Greenidge ran a personal best of 1:00.37 in the College Women's 400-meter hurdles to place 14th overall and first in her heat, while Sellers crossed the finish line at the 1:04.74 mark.
The women's 4x100-meter relay comprised of Greenidge, Kiersten Brewer, Alicia Perkins, and Ngozi Onwumere took home an 11th-place finish after running a time of 45.85.
In the women's 4x400-meter relay Kelli Hardnett, Sellers, Mayorca Young, and Onwumere ran the third fastest time this season (3:48.97) to place 32nd.
UP NEXT
Day two of competition is slated to begin at 9 a.m. with the College Men's 400-meter hurdles, and conclude with the Corporate Distance Medley at 7:20 p.m.
