HOUSTON - The University of Houston women's tennis team's match against Sam Houston State on Saturday has been moved indoors to the Galleria Tennis & Athletic Club and rescheduled for 1 p.m., due to inclement weather.
The match was originally slated for 10 a.m., but was rescheduled to move indoors.
The Cougars enter Saturday's match looking for their fourth-straight win after posting victories over Northwestern State and UTSA last weekend.
Senior Giorgia Pozzan and freshman Liselot Koenen lead the Cougars with four singles wins apiece, while junior Maja Kazimieruk and sophomore Celia Fraser have each reeled off three-consecutive victories.
Houston's top doubles tandem of Hunter and Pozzan sit at 3-2 this spring at the No. 1 position to improve to 23-11 together since the start of the 2010-11 season, which ties for 10th in school history for most doubles victories.
Senior Laura Ring has made an immediate impact in doubles play in her first action since the 2009-10 season, posting a 3-0 record with Koenen and Charlotte Phillips.
The Galleria Tennis & Athletic Club (GTAC)is located at 5015 Westheimer Rd., #4020. The Club is located atop the Galleria mall on the third level of the Orange Garage facing West Alabama.
