HOUSTON - University of Houston Head Coach Leroy Burrell announced two more signings Wednesday afternoon. International student-athletes Sade-Mariah Greenidge and Tameka Williams are the newest additions to the 2011 track and field signing class.
"We just got a whole lot faster with these two young ladies," said Burrell. "Both have international completion experience and bring a lot of speed with them."
Sade-Mariah Greenidge, St. Michaels, Barbados (Springer Memorial School) - Hurdles
Greenidge, a native of Barbados, is an elite youth-level hurdler having already represented her country at the CARIFTA Games where she finished second in the 100m hurdles. She attended Springer Memorial School, arguably the top track and field school of her country.
She set a personal best of 13.83 in the 100m hurdles at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore to win the consolation finals.
