HOUSTON - Rick Fenton took fifth place in the hammer throw at the second day of the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The junior from San Clemente, Calif. threw the weight 55.68m/182-8 and registered four points for the Houston squad.

Megan Frausto registered three points by claiming sixth place in the Heptathlon. The jumping specialist placed highest in the long jump (5.7m/18-10.5) with her second place finish in the multievent portion. She took second in the high jump on Thursday.
