Houston Track and Field Finishes Mt. Sac Relays

HOUSTON - The University of Houston track and field wrapped up competition at the Mt. Sac Relays Saturday night in Walnut, California. The large meet featured teams from all over the globe and many duplicate events as opposed to prelim and final races.
Wesley Ruttoh turned in a second-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase. His time of 8:51.99 ranks fourth in UH history and fourth fastest in the NCAA as of Saturday night.
The men's 4x400m team (Kelvin Furlough, Joseph Irabor, Garrett Hughey and Errol Nolan) placed second in a conference-leading time of 3:08.09.
The women's 4x100m relay team (Tai'shea Reese, Whitney Harris, Kalyn Floyd, Grecia Bolton) matched their season-best time of 43.81 and finished in fourth place. They ranked seventh-fastest in the nation heading into the weekend.
Nolan and Furlough would take fourth and sixth in the men's 400m. Furlough set a personal best of 46.29.
