HOUSTON - The University of Houston men's basketball team looks to improve to 2-0 for the second straight season when it plays host to Utah Valley at 7 p.m., Monday, inside Hofheinz Pavilion.
In their last game, the Cougars scored 13 straight points on five straight shots to open the game and never looked back in a dominating 88-42 win against Grambling State on Saturday inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Making his collegiate debut, redshirt freshman guard Joseph Young led all players with 18 points and seven assists, while freshman forward TaShawn Thomas added 13 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three assists during his first game in the Scarlet and White.
