Errol Nolan Named Conference USA Athlete of the Week

HOUSTON - Sophomore sprinter Errol Nolan has been named Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week as the league office announced Tuesday.
Nolan won every race he competed in this past weekend at the Adidas Classic hosted by the University of Nebraska. Nolan set a personal record in 60m (6.72) and earned another individual title in the 200m dash (21.45). Both of those times are tops in C-USA this season.
Nolan teamed up with Doug Kelley, Kelvin Furlough and Joseph Irabor to win the 4x400m relay, finishing the course in 3:13.03.
The Rosenberg, Texas, native helped Houston score 30 points to finish in second place at the Adidas Classic with his performances.
This is Nolan's first C-USA Athlete of the Week award.
Sonnisha Williams of UCF was named the women's Athlete of the Week.

The Cougars host the Houston Indoor Invitational & Multi Events at Yeoman Fieldhouse this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28-29. Friday's action begins with the field events at 3 p.m. and the running events starting at 4:30 p.m.
