Pozdniakova Runner-up in 3-Meter at NCAA Championships

Purdue, Ind. - University of Houston senior diver Anastasia Pozdniakova finished second in the 3-meter competition Friday night in the NCAA Championships at Purdue University.
With her second place finish, Pozdniakova matched her final spot from 2009. The Elektrostal, Russia native finished with 406.45 points trailing Kelci Bryant of Minnesota's 415.50 points. The pair topped the pool record that Pozdniakova set in the prelims with her score of 390.10 points.
The pair has battled for the top spot in the two completed diving events at the NCAA Championships this weekend. Pozdniakova defeated Bryant on Thursday in the 1-meter competition for an NCAA and pool record 356.20 points.
Lacey Truelove also competed in the 3-meter competition finishing 13th with 323.25 points, a career-high in the event.
